Tree Planting exercise kicked off earlier today at the university farm in Butsumba, Nyamwamba division, Kasese Municipality.
Staff and students participated in this activity where a total of over 100 Markhamia Latea tree seedlings were planted.

While leading the exercise, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Nathaniel Walemba urged the staff and students to ensure they visit the farm regularly to see the progress of the trees planted.
Majority of students from the department of Agriculture participated in planting of indigenous trees to promote soil and water conservation at the university farm in Butsumba, as well as supporting climate adaptation.

The tree seedlings were provided by MBALHAMIA HEALING FOREST one of the university partners.
